It’s a great place to start if you want to learn floristry properly and feel more confident working with flowers.

Arrangement Course

Flower arrangements are a big part of everyday floristry, and this course gives you a solid introduction to three useful styles. You’ll learn how to create designs directly into a vessel or base, from table flowers through to taller and lower arrangements. It’s a practical way to build confidence with structure, balance and creating finished designs for a range of occasions.

Introduction to Wedding Design

This introduction to wedding design covers some of the key techniques used to create beautiful bridal work, including hand-tied bouquets and wearable flowers. You’ll also explore wiring, gluing and other practical methods that form the foundation of well-made wedding florals.

Advanced Course - Cascading Bouquets

Cascading bouquets are making a strong return, and this advanced course explores several techniques for creating them well. You’ll work with wiring, frame building and different armatures to create modern cascading designs that are balanced, secure and durable enough to hold up throughout the wedding day.

Debra is also the host of The Flowery Folk Podcast and editor of Flowers Magazine Australia, giving her a strong connection to the wider floral industry and the conversations shaping it.

Debra is based in Far North Queensland, where she runs her floral studio, teaches, creates for weddings and events and draws daily inspiration from the lush tropical rainforest, reefs and landscape around her whilst dodging crocodiles, cassowaries and pythons all on the way to her studio.  Her teaching style is fun, clear, down-to-earth and encouraging with a big focus on helping her students build confidence, find their own style and create a floristry business that actually works.
